Congratulations to all of the Runners who took on a grueling training regiment to participate in today's Marathon -- The 126th Running! There are approximately 30,000 runners which will draw over one million spectators along the route.
We thank all of our Public Safety Partners, the countless agencies, who made today's race not only possible, but safe, festive, and a celebration of excellence on many different levels!
In addition to dealing with the Marathon safety and security, we also provided safety and security to the Boston Red Sox v. Minnesota Twins baseball game as well as all of the residents who dialed 9-1-1 for Police / Fire / EMS response.
This is Boston's Finest...and this is how we do it!
